Score tracking is an OPT-IN feature enabled when you log in. By opt-ing into the said feature, your puzzle entries may be used for improving/balancing the puzzles. When you login, the only information that Bee-Ripoff uses from your social account is your user id (to identify your score entries in the database) and avatar image (only on the web page).
